We are sisters - Jill & Jen - and we both love to be in the kitchen! Cooking is our passion (eating too). We started this site after we went to do the "wedding registry" thing and couldn't find enough good information and buying suggestions (without the sales pitch) for knife sets. Quality kitchen knives are a big investment and we want to help others find their dream knife set. We hope you'll find this site helpful in your own quest.
Our Review Criteria
How do we evaluate what we recommend?
Most of the time we purchase (if we don't already own) the knives, or borrow a set we want to review from friends or family - and get their input too. We try them out whenever possible. We ask everyone from line-cooks to gourmet chefs what they use and like (or don't like). We read all the online comments we can find (retailer sites, blogs, consumer guides) and thoroughly research the manufactures sites.
